Privacy Policy
This policy explains how English E A+, published by Robin Mollah, collects, uses, stores, and deletes information when you use the app or this website.
Last updated: 19 August 2026
The short version
English E A+ stores learning progress so the app can work offline, sync your study state, and show useful feedback about strengths and mistakes. We use Firebase services for authentication, sync, analytics, crash reporting, and account-linked files when those features are enabled.
We do not sell your personal information. You can request deletion at any time through our account deletion form.
Information we collect
Account and identifiers
- An anonymous Firebase account identifier created for app sync.
- Your phone number if you choose phone-based sign-in or link a phone number.
- Username, email address, or other details you provide when contacting support or requesting deletion.
Learning and practice data
- Profile preferences, language, class information, study-plan choices, and app settings.
- Reading progress, last-read locations, saved words, and vocabulary practice.
- Practice sessions, scores, timing, skipped answers, and question-level attempts.
- Every retry, including the question, submitted answer, correctness, answer details, and retry number.
- Mistake reports and screenshots or other files that you choose to upload for support.
Technical and usage information
The app may send event information to Firebase Analytics and error or crash information to Firebase Crashlytics. These services may receive app version, device or operating-system details, anonymous identifiers, and interactions needed to understand reliability and usage. Some settings and learning data are also stored locally using the device’s preferences and local database.
How we use information
- Provide practice, reading, vocabulary, progress, and study-plan features.
- Sync learning data across supported app sessions and recover from local failures.
- Show strengths, weaknesses, repeated mistakes, and recommended next practice.
- Improve content, app performance, security, and reliability.
- Respond to support, privacy, and deletion requests.
Who receives information
We use Google Firebase services, including Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, and Firebase Storage where applicable, to operate the app.
We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users and the service, or to investigate abuse. We do not publish an individual student’s attempts or identity.
Aggregate learning insights
We may create privacy-safe aggregate statistics, such as how often a question is missed or which question types are difficult overall. We may use these anonymous patterns to improve the app or share common learning patterns publicly. We do not intentionally attach these published patterns to a student’s name, phone number, email, or account.
Retention and deletion
Account-linked data is kept while it is needed to provide the app, sync your progress, support you, or meet legal and security needs. After we verify a deletion request, we normally complete it within 30 days.
- Account credentials, profile data, practice history, retries, and mistake records are deleted.
- Anonymous aggregate statistics that cannot reasonably identify you may remain.
- De-identified diagnostics may remain for up to 90 days for security and reliability.
- Local data on your device requires uninstalling the app or clearing its app storage.
Your choices
- Use the app offline when network sync is unavailable.
- Change supported profile and app preferences in Settings.
- Ask us to access, correct, or delete account-linked information.
- Uninstall the app or clear local app storage to remove device-local copies.
To make a request, use the deletion request page or email contact@robinmollah.com.
Security
We use Firebase security controls, authenticated access, and reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect account-linked information. No internet or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so please do not submit sensitive information that the app does not request.
Students and children
English E A+ is intended for secondary and HSC English learners. If you are below the age at which you can consent to data processing in your location, use the app with a parent or guardian’s involvement. If you believe a child has provided information improperly, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app, services, or legal requirements change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
